CORPUS CHRISTI -- Morgan and 3rd is a busy intersection lined with doctors offices. Its also a place pothole patrol found a big problem for drivers.
"Its a very busy intersection, you know, doctors, lawyers, a lot of people pass by here," said driver Cynthia Maldonado. She encountered the bump while taking her mom to the doctor.
We saw some pass fast and others slow down, but, no matter how drivers tried to maneuver this bulge, there was trouble.
"That looks very risky to here, because I try down here to bring my mom to her surgery, she had back surgery done and every time I hit a bump it hurts," Maldonado said.
What's worse, is there are several doctors offices located at the intersection and during our time there, we saw many ambulances trying to maneuver the bumpy bulge.
Its not just emergency vehicles, either, doctors office employees, like Gail Dorn, encounter the problem daily. She even sometimes rides her bike in the area. "I've almost been hit two or three times," Dorn said. Its a healthy alternative made dangerous by this literal bump in the road that makes some unsuspecting drivers swerve.
"You can't see them very well, its kind of a blind spot when you're driving," explained Dorn. We took the the pothole patrol unit across the pesky problem and it's definitely a bulge you want to bypass if you can.
Andy Leal, Assistant Director of Street Operations, assured us he'd have crew check out the problem today.
