Police Search Two Homes In Connection With Cheryl Shooting

CORPUS CHRISTI - Police searched two homes Friday evening related to the recent shooting deaths of two young girls.

Officers say they received a tip that guns used in the shooting were being stored at one or both houses on Adams Drive, off of Ayers, south of Del Mar College.

The residents of the first home gave police consent to search it, and officers found nothing.

Police couldn't immediately enter the second home without consent or probably cause, and as of late Friday night, they had not yet started their search.

It's the first notable lead in the murder of 6 year old Navaeh Olivo and 2 year old Lillyanna Valent.

The girls died from gunshots fired into their family's home on Cheryl Street during a birthday party for a sibling.

Police and family members have pleaded for tips from the public ever since.

So far, no one has been arrested, but five people spotted leaving the second home on Adams Drive were taken in for questioning.
