Padre Island Nat'l Seashore Speed Limit Change

CORPUS CHRISTI - Officials with the Padre Island National Seashore are  implementing a seasonal speed limit of 15 miles per hour from mile marker 5 to the Mansfield Channel from April 15 through July 5, 2010.

The speed limit change will provide visitors a safer beach experience during the summer season and will also ensure the safety of the Kemp’s ridley sea turtle during the peak of the nesting season.
