CORPUS CHRISTI - Encarnacion Rodela is a decorated Vietnam War veteran.
His daughter says he was with the Army's 101st Airborne Division, and a 2-time Purple Heart Army sergeant.
He was given a special ring for his service. He was also able to get one for his wife, although it was a different design, but his is the one stolen in a December burglary at his home on the 4800 block of Bluebelle Lane.
And his daughter Pat came to Action Ten for help in trying to get it back for him because it means alot to him. "He endured a lot in the Vietnam war. And he saw a lot. It's just a momento. It just means a lot," she told us.
The burglary happened December 3rd. Among the items stolen..."money. Jewelry. Credit Cards. A tv. A revolver. A 32 revolver," Pat Rodela said.
The family believes the burglars got into the house by breaking a rear window that they've since boarded up.
Rodela says police have recovered a tv, pellet gun, and knife, but not the ring. "And I hope people that know where the ring is will come forward and help us recover the ring for my dad."
Police began investigating last week and tell us they have a known suspect, but no arrest yet.
