Mattress Fire Might be Arson Play Video

CORPUS CHRISTI - A mattress inside an apartment caught on fire early Wednesday morning and fire officals say it might be arson.

It happened on the 3200 blk. of Reid Dr. around 1:30 a.m.

A maintenance man for the apartment complex said he heard a fire alarm and broke the sliding glass door of the apartment to get inside.

Once inside he found a mattress on fire and dragged it outside.

No one was inside the apartment.

There was some fire damage to the bedroom and smoke damage to the apartment.

No one was injured.

Fire investigators are treating the fire as an arson.
