CORPUS CHRISTI - A gas leak caused concern out near Highway 44 and McKinzie Road today.
Residents and businesses were told to shelter in place as crews tried to contain the leak.
The leak was visible as the wind blew the vapor. Luckily the wind was blowing it southwest away from traffic on 44.
Fire Department officials also say the Dietrich Plant in the area was told to stop any work that may cause a spark.
Officials also say pipeline companies were having trouble figuring out who actually owned the line.
The shelter order was lifted just after 4 p.m. but officials say a small amount vapor may still be leaking from the area.
Air quality test was conducting throughout the leak, according to officials, and no dangerous reading were found.
