CORPUS CHRISTI - What really irks Kings Crossing homeowner David Adams is not just the fact that his street is sinking, or that it's a safety issue, or that he always has to always explain the problem to people who come over.
The worst part is that all three times he's contacted the city about the problem in front of his home in the 7800 block of Etienne, he was led to believe something might be done about it.
"Each time, we get an email response, saying thank you for contacting us, someone will be in touch with you within 30 days," explains Adams.
But each time, there was no further contact, and the street continued sinking.
Action 10 News didn't have any luck getting answers either, but just a month ago, street department officials told us the problem is called "rolling and settling", a problem effecting nearly 3000 addresses in town.
And because of funding issues, the city has to prioritize the repairs.
David says the problem here has hung around for three years, even before he moved in and began complaining.
He believes that's long enough.
"I would think so," he says.
At the very least, he'd like to know if and when the city plans to fix the road, instead of having to wait and wonder.
If you've got a problem with potholes or sinking streets, and you'd like to bring some attention to it, all you have to do is send an email to pothole@kztv10.com
