CORPUS CHRISTI - William Bryant, 37, is facing charges for allegedly making terroristic threats towards officers at his home on Holmes Drive Wednesday evening.
According to police, they were first called to the house for a domestic disturbance. As officers were giving Bryant a report number for the incident his wife and father-in-law came back to the home, sparking some erratic behavior.
The windows of the home were broken out as Bryant started cursing at everyone in the area. A little boy in the home came running out, crying uncontrollably, as he was put in the back of a patrol car for his own protection.
Officers attempting to convince Bryant to come out of the home had tasers drawn. According to neighbors, Bryant is deaf.
Neighbor Debbie Garcia said, "I know it looks bad right now, but how he's been in the past that's not like him."
Police called for the SWAT team after seeing Bryant armed with a handgun. He was yelling, cursing and threating to kill officers from inside the home.
SWAT never made it to the home because Bryant threw a chair at officers, allowing one cop the chance to use a taser through a broken window. Other officers moved in and cuffed Bryant.
He was later taken to the ground by officers before being put into a patrol car. Bryant was seen slamming his head on the top of the car. The boy believed to be his son was pleading with officers "don't kill him" as they got the large man under control.
