Hit and Run Victim: Apology Would be Awesome

CORPUS CHRISTI - The search continues for the person who ran down a jogger on Ocean Drive over the weekend. Police have run down a lot of leads, but so far, they've all been dead-ends.

The victim, Joshua Newton, says he's gotten a lot of support from community as he heals. Newton tells us police have kept him updated with all of the tips they've received.

Someone at Treyway Apartments on Holly spotted what they thought might have been the car involved, but it turned out to belong to couple who says a falling ladder smashed the windshield.

At this point, Newton says he wants the person responsible for leaving him on Ocean Drive to surrender.

"I don't want you to go to jail. I don't want you to get in trouble. We just want you to step forward and take responsibility for your actions, and if anything just an apology would be awesome at this point."
