Father Enters Guilty Plea for Daughter's Death

SAN DIEGO - A Duval County man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty today to felony injury to a child for the death of his his two year old daughter Davynna Sanchez.
David Sanchez was originally charged with capital murder in December of 2010. That charge was dropped in exchange for the plea deal.
Authorities arrested Sanchez and Melissa Flores after their daughter, Davynna, died as a result of what the medical examiner called severe child abuse.
The autopsy states she suffered from malnutrition and internal bleeding from the brain and abdomen.
The girls mother, Melissa Bueno, is still charged with capital murder. No word on when she will go to trial.
