DAMASCAS, Syria - Syrian State television is reporting that two explosions rocked the capital of Damascus on Thursday morning.

The explosions happened outside the Justice Ministry building in the capital, and it damaged about 20 cars.

There were about three people that were injured according to Syrian State media.

This comes on a day that activists also say more than 80 people have been killed in demonstrations against the Assad regime that have been put down by the Syrian military.

Tensions continue to rise between Syria and Turkey after Turkey deployed anti-aircraft missiles and weapons along it's border.

This comes after last week's shooting down of a Turkish fighter jet by the Syrian military.

As the conflict in Syria drags on, international efforts to solve the crisis is shifting gears.

This Saturday in Geneva, Switzerland, Kofi Annan has invited the five permanent members of the Security Council as well as other Arab countries to try and hammer out a transitional process to end the conflict in Syria.
