CORPUS CHRISTI - With spring break just around the corner, Del Mar College wants to keep students safe. On Thursday, Del Mar will be holding Spring Break readiness activities at the college's East campus from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
Del Mar wants to boost awareness about the dangers of Spring Break hazards, such as driving while intoxicated. This year's bash featured a pair of drunk driving simulator carts in which a student can navigate one through an obstacle course normally and then a second time with a pair of goggles designed to simulate intoxication.
In addition, TABC officials will be on hand to provide information about alcohol consumption during the break. They will also be handing out information discouraging travel to Mexico.
