CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Just after midnight, police spotted a Jeep Cherokee weaving across the road and driving on the shoulder on the 7000 block of I-37. The driver, 37 year old Jose Almaguer, appeared to be drunk, and was arrested after failing several sobriety tests.

 

Then just a few hours later, police spotted a Ford F-150 speeding out of the parking lot of a night club on the 5700 block of Everhart, with the passenger door wide open. The driver, 45 year old Lisa Case, appeared to be drunk and was arrested, but refused to submit to a breath test. That earned her a trip to the hospital for a mandatory blood draw.

 

Right around that same time, the kitchen manager of the Johnny Carino’s restaurant here on the 1600 block of SPID reported that someone had broken in and stolen an electric drain auger. Whoever did it apparently tried to take a pressure washer as well, but was unsuccessful. Police are looking for leads.
