CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Around 10:30 Monday night, police on the 900 block of Belmeade saw a red Chevy Blazer run a stop sign. When they stopped the car, they found that the driver had an open can of beer in the front seat. When 55-year-old Juan Singleterry allowed them to search the truck, officers found two small packets containing a black tar substance believed to be heroin. Singleterry was arrested.

Then an hour later, an officer stopped a Ford F-150 near Gollihar and Vestal after spotting it speeding onto the highway. Once stopped, the driver, who appeared to be drunk, jumped out and approached the officer. Police say 37 year old Charles Hernandez took several Field Sobriety tests before eventually being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

And then about 2:00 Tuesday morning, a police officer driving down the 4800 block of Leopard saw a man looking into several cars in the parking lot of The Party Place. According to police, 28 year old Efrain Gomez appeared to be drunk. He gave police a false name and when they went to arrest him, he ran and tried to climb a fence. Gomez was caught and arrested and found to be wanted on a DWI charge out of San Antonio.
