CORPUS CHRISTI - Corpus Christi police are looking for a guy who held up a couple at gunpoint today. Around 10:00 AM the couple walked into an apartment complex near Mussett and Crosstown when they say a man came up to them asking for cigarettes and drugs. After they said no the guy grabbed for the woman's purse.
The couple said the man was carrying a gun and that's when they decided to let him take the purse.
"He followed us maybe like five minutes," said victim Paul Gonzales, "when he pulled the gun out and put it right on her head and I was right next to her and I said, 'let go of the purse.'"
The suspect took off on foot. Once caught he faces a robbery charge. Police described the suspect as a dark man with a mustache, 20-25 years old, 5'6" tall and around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a red hoodie. Call police if you know more.
