City Building Damaged in Hit and Run Crash

Hit and Run Driver Damages City Building

CORPUS CHRISTI - A hit-and-run driver damaged a city building late Sunday night.

It happened around 11:00 p.m. as the driver was speeding on Shoreline near Whataburger by the Bay and lost control of the car.

The driver hit a water and gas meter at the city's storm drainage building then ran off.

There wasn't much damage to the building, but the gas pipe and water pipes were bent.

Police say they believe they know who the driver is.
