CORPUS CHRISTI - Health officials are asking parents and local doctors to be aware of a dangerous game that is gaining popularity among kids.
It's called the "choking game". It involves kids using their hands or belts, neck ties, or other items to choke each other in order to get high or pass out from the lack of oxygen to the brain.
Aside from death, the game can also result in seizures, headaches, brain damage, and other serious health problems.
The CDC reports 82 probable choking-game-related deaths from 1995 to 2007.
