CCPD Honors Late Lieutenant Stuart Alexander

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Lieutenant Stuart Alexander was awarded the highest award by the Corpus Christi Police Department tonight.

The late Alexander was awarded the police Medal of Honor and the Police Cross during the first ever awards banquet for the PD.

The Medal of Honor is awarded for gallantry and extraordinary heroism and the Police Cross for loss of life in performance of duty.

The two medals were presented to the Lieutenant's widow Vicki Alexander.

The honor comes just days after 22-year-old Daniel Lopez was sentenced to death for killing Alexander.
