CCISD Names Mike Cantu as New Moody Head Coach

CORPUS CHRISTI - On Monday afternoon CCISD officially named Mike Cantu as the new Moody Head Football Coach / Athletic Coordinator.

When informed the job was his Cantu told me, "I can't begin to tell you how excited I am, I am on Cloud 9, I'm just excited for things to come."

The Miller High School graduate was most recently an assistant coach at Carroll High School, and prior to that was at Ray High School. He has over 11-years of experience within CCISD.

He replaces Charlie McMath who now works under Brenda Marshall in the CCISD Athletic Office.

Cantu will assume his duties at Moody on Wednesday.
