Carroll Tigers Fall in 5A State Semifinal

AUSTIN - Carroll Tigers lose 2-1 to A&M Consolidated in the 5A State Semifinals. Carroll gave up 2 runs in the Top of the 7th in the loss. Tigers eliminated from the tournament.

"Bottom line, we asked guys to play hard. They did and they battled. Someone has to win someone has to lose and it wasn't our day," said head coach Lee Yeager.

"It wasn't the way to go out but what can you do. Baseball is a funny game, can't understand it," said infielder O'Shea Dumes.

"It's not just going out like we wanted. We made it back third time. How many teams say did that. We wanted to win it, but hey we made it," said outfielder Courtney Hawkins.

Houston Cypress Ranch will face A&M Consolidated in the 5A state championship tomorrow at 11:30am.
