ODEM -- An Odem mother whose son was dropped off at the wrong bus stop last week said school officials have told her the house where he was left belongs to a sex offender.

CORPUS CHRISTI --Later this month, Corpus Christi's city council will hear about ways to help cut back on plastic bag littering.
Last year, some local environmental groups made a push for a plastic bag ban in the city.
Possibilities included a charge for shoppers using the bags.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Residents in one neighborhood say the city should pay for a water main that burst over the weekend flooding their yard and damaging their home but the city says no. We went back to the house today to get a look at the damage as things start to dry up.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Residents on Rio Grande Street saw some relief from flooding as a result of Saturday night's heavy rains. After seeing our report on the water still standing in the roadway, a City of Corpus Christi crew came out an cleared out debris in the storm drains.

CORPUS CHRISTI - The driver of a small car says he overcorrected when he hit a bump on Bronco Road near the airport and ended up flipping into a ditch.
The man was covered in mud after the accident. He told us he was glad he had his seat belt on. "I was sliding, I was trying to turn the other way, I hit that curb and went in and slid," said the driver.
While the driver was not injured in the crash, the car is in pretty bad shape.

ARANSAS COUNTY - County Judge Burt Mills has lifted the burn ban for Aransas County as a result of the recent rains. However, officials want to remind residents to be careful while burning brush on their land. Also, a reminder that it is illegal to burn tires, mattresses, building materials or any flammable liquids. The order only affects Aransas County.

SAN DIEGO - A Duval County man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty today to felony injury to a child for the death of his his two year old daughter Davynna Sanchez.
