    The Coastal Bend has been very fortunate over the last several years in not having to deal with a catastrophic tropical storm or hurricane.

Some of the historic storms that have made landfall in the Corpus Christi area include Hurricane Beulah in 1967, Hurricane Celia in 1970, Tropical Storm Amelia in 1978, and Hurricane Bret in 1999.

     We saw a pretty soggy Tuesday for much of the Coastal Bend. However, the majority of shower activity is winding down this evening. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly cloudy skies with a stray shower still possible. Look for an overnight low around 76 degrees with the winds blowing out of the east at 10 to 15 miles per hour. More scattered showers are likely again on Wednesday and Thursday. Though, they will become a little less widespread.  We will return to drier a...

    The National Weather Service has advised that the tropical atmosphere is favorable for the development of funnel clouds in multiple counties and surrounding cities in the Coastal Bend area.
