The grant will help the school district purchase and install equipment to provide 135 students with training for careers in the nursing profession. The purchased equipment will continue to support the nursing program and future students enrolled with Coastal Bend College.

    Construction of the new Harbor Bridge has led to some closures that will impact travel in the Comanche/Crosstown area. The Comanche Street bridge and the Comanche/Lipan exit have been shut down. The bridge will remain closed until further notice. The Comanche/Lipan exit will be shut down until May 2018. Work crews will begin drilling next to the Comanche street bridge next week as part of the construction project.

As of yesterday, lake levels reached 94 feet elevation, which is 100 percent capacity. The most recent forecasts are predicting Lake Corpus Christi to exceed the capacity of the Wesley Seale Dam.
